The Sidecar is a secondary viewing panel that appears to the right of your main workspace content. It allows you to view a reference document or page alongside your primary view. Workspace with sidecar open showing a reference PDF page next to the main document view

Opening the Sidecar

Toggle the sidecar panel using Cmd + Shift + O (Mac) or Ctrl + Shift + O (Windows/Linux). The sidecar can display:
  • A specific page from the current document
  • A related or referenced document
  • A secondary view of the same document at a different location

Use Cases

Side-by-Side Review

Cross-Reference

When reviewing multi-page documents, use the sidecar to keep a reference page visible while working through other pages in the main view. Main view on one page with sidecar showing a reference page from the same document
The sidecar is especially useful for documents where data on one page references information on another, such as invoices with terms on a separate page.
